What We Do

MOSES is an interfaith organization
Faith Congregations join as members

The leaders of faith congregations have a caucus that strengthens their membership to do the work of MOSES out of their faith.

As clergy and religious leaders of MOSES we preach service to the least of God’s people. It is urgent that service includes working to change the systems from which we all benefit.  We preach that we not only need to repent of personal sin, but also social sin which grows out of greed, racism and judgment of the wrongs of others. We will change unjust systems as the voices of faith people are heard as one voice.

Religious Leader’s of MOSES are called to

Facilitate learning for ourselves and other religious leaders about how the criminal justice system of Wisconsin can be more effective in restoring communities and correct policies and procedures that are unfair and inhumane while at the same time protecting communities from violence

Contact more clergy and share mutual concerns about the criminal legal system in order to grow the caucus and grow MOSES

Collaborate with the community organizer to build a strategy to improve congregation recruitment and approaching potential new members

Work with Events and Communication Teams as we work on clergy and community round tables and events.

Please encourage your faith leader(s) to participate in the Religious Leaders Caucus of MOSES
